I believe that when it comes to content, the clearer the message, the more engaged the reader. This then supports sales enablement, and when you support sales, everything starts clicking into place.
Great content marketing is the bedrock of making a brand work. It starts with a psychology-based message that inspires a strategy that carries over into all areas of the business.
No single piece of content should exist in a vacuum. All of the pieces should build on each other, creating a cohesive user journey and user experience, from homepage content to social media to ad copy. Everything is intertwined in an ecosystem that, when done in a thoughtful way, can’t help but flourish.
What continues to excite me about content is that there’s always something new to write about, a different way to frame a concept, and another angle to try and connect with consumers. It’s a never-ending creative endeavor, always with a goal in mind.

I am a multi-disciplinary content creator, marketer, and author. My goal is to make life easier for the reader/user and lighten their cognitive load. They arrived at a webpage with a purpose, and I want to fulfill that purpose as swiftly and completely as possible.
Over my 20+ year career, I have collaborated on all manner of teams and verticals. From writing fast-paced entertainment content out of college, to managing content creation teams for brands like Hershey, Fidelity, and Beats by Dre, to creating and executing a UX-based content marketing strategy for a new investing platform, I’ve done it all; in-house and at agencies.
I rely on data to inform strategy rather than guessing. When we use data, it shows that we are listening to the subtle signals that our users are giving us — what they are searching for, what pages aren’t holding their interest, what pages they frequent — which creates a more robust experience and removes friction from their journey.

AI is here to stay, but the companies that are using it as a replacement writer are doing it all wrong. That’s why you’re seeing so many references to words like “quietly,” “directly,” and endless comparative language in blogs and social media posts.
Companies that rely on these tools to generate content will soon sound as commonplace and bland as the slop proliferation continues. They’ll struggle to stand out from the crowd.
On the positive side, LLMs are powerful research tools, often shaving hours or days off of search time. They’re also great for reverse engineering the more opaque parts of the web, like ranking for AEO and GEO. They can help highlight blind spots in our content as an objective observer.
This is how I like to incorporate AI into my writing process. Where it can help me comb through academic papers and verify that my content is on-target for higher ranking, I’m all for it. But when it comes to actually writing, unless I want to sound like everyone else (which would be terrible marketing), I use my own voice. After all, I’m a human writing for humans.

I have published 9 books and been nominated as a Chanticler International Book Awards Finalist for my book “Becoming 1% Better.” I also created the website The Indie Authors, where I offer writing workbooks and give independent authors the opportunity to get free press.
I believe that storytelling is my purpose in life, but not only me telling my stories. I also want to help other aspiring authors get their books out there. It’s a firm belief of mine that if we all shared our stories with each other, the world would be a better place. So, I strive to do my part to be part of that change.
I have also appeared on several podcasts, talking about everything from imposter syndrome to my 13-step process for self-publishing. With a background in radio broadcasting, I always find it fun to chat with talented interviewers about the topics that are relevant to their audiences.
